International House San Sebastian

Opened in 2000, the school offer 18 spacious classrooms, sound systems in every class and common areas, a bank of computers for student use, 2 private parking lots, a large social area and library and an open-air terrace with snack and drink machines. They are part of the world organization International House that has been dedicated to the teaching of languages since 1953. Their ethos centers around student care, ensuring their experience is both comfortable and productive. All their qualified teachers are university educated and trained to teach Spanish to international students.

Many different Spanish courses are available at the school, including business Spanish, teacher training, DELE courses and intensive Spanish. Students can also combine their language lessons with activities such as cooking, surfing, kayaking and football. There are also many after-class activities you can partake in, including sightseeing tours, wine tasting, museum trips, theatre nights and bigger events like the San Sebastian Film Festival.

Various accommodation options are available for residents – from sharing the home of a Spanish host family, or shared self-catering apartments- all of which the school will organize and arrange for students. They can even help source hotels and hostels for shorter stays. The school is situated beside the Cristina Enea Park, one of the city’s most important sights, which is also a great place to study and chill out with new friends. It is also located near the fun and lively bars and restaurants, where students can enjoy the city’s world-famous tapas - Pintxos!
