Standard Spanish Language Courses

Standard Spanish courses are one of the most popular and common Spanish courses requested by students, and they are provided by most private Spanish language schools as well as Spanish universities. A standard Spanish language course typically offers around 20 Spanish classes per week and a number of free-time activities outside class hours. These activities range from Spanish cultural activities, like guided visits to Spanish museums, to welcome parties and weekend excursions.

On average each class has around 6-12 students, which allows the Spanish language teacher to give personal attention to each student. Many of the teachers also participate in the free-time activities, which creates a very good relationship between the Spanish language course teachers and Spanish language course students.

The 4 hour Spanish language classes per day focus on Spanish grammar, Spanish vocabulary and understanding of the Spanish language and Spanish culture and are based on the active participation of all students.

Please see Standard Spanish Courses for more information on this type of course. Otherwise, you may be ready to Register for a Standard Spanish Language Course.

Intensive Spanish Language Courses

The intensive Spanish language courses are also very popular amongst students staying in Spain for a shorter, more efficient study Spanish period. This Spanish language course is naturally more intensive, where it offers at least 25 Spanish language classes per week and also a number of free time activities outside class hours such as guided visits to museums to welcome parties and weekend excursions.

The average class also has less students compared to the standard Spanish language course with around 4-10 students per group, which allows each teacher to give more personal attention to each student. Like in the standard language courses the classes focus on grammar, vocabulary and understanding of the Spanish language.

The extra hours per week will be spend on optional subjects that are mostly topic related, presentations or spending more time to work on the most difficult parts of the grammar. You might also read newspaper articles or watch Spanish movies after which these will be discussed.

Please see Intensive Spanish Courses for more information on this type of course. Otherwise, you may be ready to Register for an Intensive Spanish Language Course.

University Spanish Language Courses

University Spanish courses are another way to efficiently study Spanish. The Spanish courses at public universities are popular among students between 18-30 years old who study Spanish in Spain for a longer period.

Traditionally Spanish language courses at public Spanish universities have been long-term Spanish courses following the academic year in either 2 or 3 semester language courses and with few options to choose from. This has changed as nowadays many universities offer both short-term Spanish language courses as well as Spanish courses during the summer.

Many of the universities might have improved their services, but are usually still far from perfect. Students should for example be aware of the few free-time activities arranged, the many students per class, lack of published information about the Spanish courses, a complicated reservation process and, you should not be surprised if there is no one who speaks any other languages besides Spanish in the main office at the Spanish courses.

There are of course also many positive facts about choosing a university such as being part of campus life, meeting Spanish students, having access to university facilities and you will also get a diploma from a university (and not from a private school that might not be known back in your home country).

Please see University Spanish Courses for more information on this type of course. Otherwise, you may be ready to Register for a University Spanish Language Course.

Teenage Spanish Language Courses

We are also able to arrange Teenage Spanish courses specifically for youngsters. These Spanish courses are popular during summer months and are targeted at youngsters between 13 and 17 years old; these summer youth Spanish language courses are arranged by many of the private Spanish language schools in Spain that offer normal Spanish language courses during the rest of the year.

A typical Spanish course offers around 15-20 Spanish classes per week and a number of afternoon and weekend activities. The summer camps are arranged so the students have a great time both during classes and after with a number of organised free-time activities, from cultural activities such as guided visits to museums to sports activities and weekend excursions.

The average class has around 10 students and the teachers are experienced in teaching Spanish to youngsters. The Spanish classes are done in a very interactive and communicative way to make it more fun for the students while they are learning.

Please see Teenage Spanish Courses for more information on this type of course. Otherwise, you may be ready to Register for a Teenage Spanish Language Course.

Summer Spanish Language Courses

We are also able to arrange Summer Spanish courses which are arranged by many of the private Spanish language schools in Spain that offer normal Spanish language courses during the rest of the year. A Summer Spanish course is an ideal way to combine holidays and pick up or improve your Spanish.

The Summer Spanish Courses we offer are for all levels from beginner to advanced and have a minimum age requirement of 16/17 years. The course structure is the same as in the Intensive courses that are given throughout the year. Lessons consist of Spanish Grammar and Conversation, and at some Universities you can also choose extra subjects like Spanish Art, History, Literature, etc., depending on the amount of lessons you have chosen and/or your level of Spanish.
It is possible to attend these courses from 2 weeks to 4 months during the months of June, July, August and September (not at all Universities).

Please see Summer Spanish Courses for more information on this type of course. Otherwise, you may be ready to Register for a Summer Spanish Language Course.

Mature Spanish Language Courses

For the older student (usually 50+), we offer Mature Spanish language courses, where the free-time, social and cultural activities are also a major focus. These activities could include Spanish cooking lessons, Flamenco dancing classes, visits to museums, etc.

The average mature Spanish language course class has around 10 students and between 15-20 classes per week, which allows for the teacher to get the whole class involved. The 3-4 Spanish classes per day focus on grammar, vocabulary and understanding of the Spanish language and culture and are based on the active participation of all students.

We would recommend the special mature student Spanish courses for people who prefer studying only with people of the same age. It can also be highly recommended for the many special free-time activities arranged which is the principle difference between this Spanish course and a standard Spanish language course.

Please see Mature Spanish Courses for more information on this type of course. Otherwise, you may be ready to Register for a Mature Spanish Language Course.

We also offer Business Spanish language courses for young business professionals or business students, where the vocabulary is more Spanish business and corporate Spanish culture related.

There are two different types of business Spanish courses. A general business language course and a business language course where students afterwards can take the Madrid Chamber of Commerce Exam, which is a recognised examination for Spanish business vocabulary and arranged in collaboration with the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and Alcala University. The main difference between these two courses is that the Chamber of Commerce Spanish language course will also focus on preparing for the exam whereas the general course have more time for specialized subjects.

Most young business professionals or international students who take this Spanish language course are either doing business in Spain, are planning to establish business contacts in the Spanish speaking world or wish to further expand their Curriculum for future use.

The DELE Spanish language test is also internationally recognised as the official Spanish language exam for none native Spanish language speakers (like the TOEFL test is for the English language), a nice way to study Spanish in Spain.

There are three different options available at the DELE Spanish language exam depending on the level of the students who want to study Spanish in Spain.

The first level is the basic level (Nivel Inicial) which is for students with a elementary knowledge of Spanish. This level is for students who have studied Spanish language for short a period, with a basic understanding of the Spanish grammar and who understand and communicate in situations that requires minimal Spanish language skills.
