International House Mallorca

Situated in the island’s romantic and historic capital city Palma, the IH Palma de Mallorca was established in 1987 and offers courses to both students and those wishing to teach Spanish. The school also has a large department dedicated to work-based learning where students can have the opportunity to be placed in jobs around the island to get a better vocational understanding of the language.

It occupies three floors of a large and modern building the centre of town, just off the prestigious Passeig Mallorca avenue and a few minutes walk from the old city. The school offers 14 air-conditioned classrooms (some on the ground level for those with reduced mobility), as well as a number of office and recreational areas. There is also a computer lab with free Wi-Fi for students, and a chill-out area where learners can relax and mingle with their classmates.

They range from private tuition and online courses, to intensive learning and classes for the over 50s. There is even the option of combining language classes with sailing lessons!

Palma is one of the most stunning cities on any of the Balearic islands. Cosmopolitan and fun, there is a thriving art community and plenty of night life. There is also a large sailing community, with the city hosting the much talked about Copa del Ray yachting competition every summer.
