Clic is one of the most renowned language school networks in the world with schools in over 38 countries. The quality of the language courses on offer, the school environments and facilities, along with the high quality of the teaching means the school has the privilege of forming part of the IH World Organization as well as a member of EAQUALS – the European Association of Quality Language Services. It is also a DELE Examination Centre and an accredited school of the Instituto Cervantes.
Clic is a modern, fully equipped air-conditioned school in a quiet area of the city. It offers spacious classrooms and an outside space for students to enjoy the sunshine. Studying in a Clic school in Cadiz means that students get to make friends with people from all over the world, whilst learning Spanish in one of Europe’s oldest cities. Clic language school has an unrivaled choice of language courses to choose from. General Spanish is offered for all levels with up to 30 lessons per week; there is a summer course for teenagers where they can stay in Residency accommodation or in a Homestay, plus there are also private one to one classes, which can also include learning Spanish at the teacher’s home. This means that students (and this is recommended for teenagers) live with a teacher and can fully immerse themselves in the language and culture. There are also Special Courses on offer including the exclusive Spanish + Surf course, for those wanting to really make a splash and learn a new skill as well as a new language, an internship option with work placements at local businesses. The school also offers the chance to prepare for the official DELE or Chamber of Commerce exams and a course for adults over 50 years of age which includes extra classes covering various lessons in local culture and traditions.
The school can also help organize students a Homestay (the best way of getting to practice your new language skills outside of the classroom). The families which host Clic International House students are selected based on the following factors: location, quality of accommodation, the home décor and amenities, facilities and meals available. Families are also selected based on positive feedback from past students. Students can stay with the host families and enjoy half-board or just breakfast. Weekly laundry and cleaning is included. The school can also arrange for students to stay in rented apartments, student shared flats and at the Clic halls of residence in the centre of town, close to the language school
Cadiz is a unique walled city and the oldest continuously-inhabited city in Spain. The old Town (or Casco Antiguo) is like stepping back a thousand years. Its streets are historic, its cathedral magnificent and it even has a roman Theatre which was only unearthed in 1980. And if all this history is too much, simply step out of the city walls and enjoy the Costa del Sol on one side and spectacular Playa de la Luz on the other, with its spectacular beaches, or Tarifa for its hippy shops and great surfing.
Cadíz is also a fantastic base from which to explore other countries such as Morocco (half an hour’s boat ride away) and Portugal, an hour’s drive. The school also offers walks around the city, movie screenings and activities with the other Spanish students so students can fully appreciate Spanish life and live like the locals.
