About Pamplona

The Pyrenees, near PamplonaNavarre’s capital, Pamplona is positioned at the heart of the Navarre region in a curved valley known as the Cuenca de Pamplona that connects to the mountainous north through the Ebro valley. The city's ancient historic district is on the banks of the Arga river, while modern Pamplona spreads out on both sides of the riverbank.

Due to Pamplona’s unique location between the Pyrenees, its climate is Oceanic with influences of Continental Mediterranean. This influence gives the region a mild climate; maximum summertime temperatures reach around 25º C, while in winter they can drop to around 15º C.
