About Malaca Instituto

Malaca Instituto was founded in 1971 and is today one of the most prestigious language schools in Spain. The school is a large private school located east of Malaga about 15 minutes bus ride from the center of the town. Students at Malaca Instituto come from all over the world and due to the many different specialized courses offered you will find students in all age groups and with a variety of different cultural and professional backgrounds at this school.

To keep a high quality teaching Malaca Instituto has a special department responsible for the creation of in-house published textbooks and other supplementary materials. This department is also responsible for the selection and the on-going training of the teachers. The method used on all programs is an eclectic integrated method combining the many aspects of communicative approach with structured learning of grammar and syntax.

The facilities at Malaca Instituto are one of the reasons why the school is so popular. The school consists of the main school building and the on-site residence, which creates a friendly mini campus atmosphere. The location of the school, on a hill top 10 minutes from the beach, gives a splendid view over the Mediterranean Sea from nearly all classrooms. Apart from the 25 well-equipped classrooms the school has a multimedia learning centre with internet access, a language laboratory and a small cinema. In the school campus there is also a restaurant and bar as well as 3 large sun terraces and a swimming pool. Malaca Instituto also arranges a number of free-time activities and it is an important part of the program to see other parts of Spain than just Malaga town and the beach. You can participate in excursions to Sevilla, Cordoba or Granada, learn how to cook Spanish paella and participate in the fiestas held in the campus bar.
