UniSpain is an official agent recognised by Granada University to recruit students for their Spanish language programs. Please see the certificate provided by Granada University as guarantee.
For further information about all the guarantees available when you book your program through UniSpain please see Why UniSpain.
Granada University for foreigners is located in the Realejo district (central Granada) in the historic palace of Santa Cruz from the 16th century. The university in Granada is a public university and is owned by the Spanish State. It has a total of more than 60,000 students and is one of the most important universities in Spain. The Spanish language courses for foreigners have been offered for more than 10 years and are today an integrated part of the faculty of Modern Languages in the University of Granada.
The newly restored palace (restored completely in 1992) where the Spanish language courses are held is also the Centre of Modern Languages. Foreign students who study Spanish will therefore be sharing premises with Spanish students who study a foreign language. This gives a special international university atmosphere where both Spanish and foreign students can interact and benefit from each other. The contact between both parts is furthermore encouraged by the language exchange service offered by the University.
The majority of the students studying at Granada University are from Europe and the USA with most already having a good level of Spanish, a requirement for the long term courses.
The teachers all have university degrees in philology as well as teaching experience and many are also specialized in the different areas of the optional subjects (arts, history, culture, etc).
Foreign students will have access to all the University facilities, such as the library, email access and access to sports grounds. There are also other activities, arranged by the culture and sports organization, in which foreigners and Spanish students can participate together.
